Kevin Tillman, a former Army Ranger and the brother of the late Pat Tillman, the NFL star turned Army Ranger killed by "friendly fire" in Afghanistan, has ended his silence, speaking out against the war in Iraq and the Bush administration. Here is a quote:
Somehow, the same incompetent, narcissistic, virtueless, vacuous, malicious criminals are still in charge of this country. Somehow, this is tolerated. Somehow, nobody is accountable for this.

I hate to quote Michael Moore as an authority, but frankly he got it right. We need to use military force only when absolutely necessary. Afghanistan may have been necessary, though as someone who knows nothing about any of this, I've often wondered if the Taliban would have let us hunt down the people we needed without overthrowing their government as well.
Of course, Tillman died in Afghanistan, and perhaps that is one place military action was required on the large scale. Iraq was another story. Wrong war, wrong time, wrong reasons.
